What were the advantages or disadvantages in regards to your impairment at home? Were you treated any differently than your siblings? Were your parents encouraging?

I'm the only child of my parents and you already know how my life is at home. It's been hell ever since I can remember.

Well at least you had one parent who accepted you. I'm constantly at war with both my parents.

I had one older sister but she has the same visual impairment as I do so I can't say we were treated any differently. It kinda evened the playing feild in a way. As for my parents I've always had their support no matter what. They helped me handle any problems I may have had at school. My mom never seemed to have a problem with my impairment. She seemed to like that I was different. But it's still nothing I'd wish on my own child.
